Liberals and Democrats are in a rage because President Trump says he’s sending military troops to help guard the border until the wall is built, but what Libs and Dems fail to mention or care not to is, Obama did, in fact, send troops to the border wall, so did Bush.
President Trump is yet to announce exactly where the troops will go, how long they’ll be there, what they’ll do and how much it will cost, but he’s made it clear it will happen.
But this is nothing new, while liberals and Democrats continue to play their ‘let’s be outraged at anything game,’ they leave out key information that Obama and Bush sent troops to the border wall long before Trump made it cool.
President Bush and President Obama both did it, in two operations that cost a total of more than $1.3 billion.
Back then libs and Dems praised the move saying they helped US Customs and Border Protection fill in gaps and step up enforcement.
So let’s take a look at what happened during those operations, according to reports from the Government Accountability Office and congressional testimony:
2006: President George W. Bush announces in a national address, plans to deploy 6,000 troops
2010: President Obama officially orders the deployment of up to 1,200 troops to the US-Mexico border
