White House Aide responds to McCain's views on CIA nominee 'He's dying anyway'

White House Aide responds to McCain rejecting CIA nominee ‘He’s dying anyway’

CNN reported that a source told them, and by source, they mean leaker, that “White House official” Kelly Sadler made a joke about Senator John McCain and his rejection of President Trump’s CIA nominee, Gina Haspel.

Reportedly Sadler responded saying “He’s dying anyway.”

After the news broke Kelly Sadler phoned John McCain’s daughter Meghan to apologize.

After the news broke of White House Aid Kelly Sadler’s remarks, the White House issued a statement:

“We respect Senator McCain’s service to our nation, and he and his family are in our prayers during this difficult time.” Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) ripped Sadler: “Ms Sadler, may I remind you that John McCain has a lot of friends in the United States Senate on both sides of the aisle. Nobody is laughing in the Senate.”

On Wednesday Republican U.S. Senator John McCain who has been undergoing treatment for brain cancer, and has been absent from the Senate for months, said the Senate should reject President Donald Trump’s nominee Gina Haspel to lead the Central Intelligence Agency.

“I believe the Senate should exercise its duty of advice and consent and reject this nomination,” said McCain.
