Obama’s secret meetings with 2020 presidential contenders

Obama’s secret meetings with nine 2020 Democratic presidential contenders

Barack Obama has reportedly been spreading his wisdom to Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and other presidential hopefuls.

Because it worked so well with Hillary.

In recent months Barack Obama has met with at least nine prospective 2020 Democratic presidential candidates that we know of, these include Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Eric Holder, Joe Biden, Harry Reid, former New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu, failed 2016 Missouri Senate candidate Jason Kander, mayor of South Bend, Indiana, Pete Buttigieg and Deval Patrick, they’ve all been meeting the former president for one-on-one sessions at his Washington office.

All the meetings were in secret, not even close advisers to the people involved were told of the conversations, in part because Obama  didn’t want his private meetings becoming public knowledge.

However, all of the meetings have been confirmed to POLITICO by multiple people who have been briefed on the secretive sit-downs.

Apparently, Obama is concerned about how the Democratic party and wants to be involved in trying to help win in the midterms and in the next presidential cycle to beat president Trump and win back the White House.

This should go well (insert eye roll emoji here).

Among the other speculated 2020 candidates who haven’t been through: Kirsten Gillibrand, Kamala Harris, and Terry McAuliffe. Cory Booker was in to see Obama last year, shortly after he returned from his extended post-White House vacation, but hasn’t been back since.

Obama’s office declined to comment on all the meetings.
