Fox News came out in front in the cable ratings for another week in first place, while MSNBC and CNN struggled to beat home improvement shows and kid’s cartoons.
According to Nielsen Media Research, Fox marked its 26th consecutive week as the top network in total day viewers with an astonishing audience of 1.3 million. The network also placed first and raked in 2 million in total primetime viewers from July 2 to July 8.
Fake news MSNBC and CNN both struggled to match Fox’s success, dropping down to third and 16th in primetime, respectively.
CNN had an atrocious week, managing only 669,000 primetime viewers and embarrassingly losing to the following networks: HGTV, USA, Food Network, TLC, Hallmark, and a few more. MSNBC did a bit better in primetime, finishing just third behind HGTV with 1.342 million viewers.
The home of Spongebob Squarepants, HGTV, and Nickelodeon, destroyed CNN and MSNBC in total day viewership.
Nickelodeon finished second in total day with 914,000 viewers while HGTV finished third with 814,000. MSNBC trailed behind in fourth place with 763,000, while CNN tied for 9th with the Food Network at 535,000 viewers.
