Russia has responded strongly against the airstrike The United States, France and Britain carried out on Syria.
Russia has said this action will not be left “without consequences”.
“We are being threatened. We warned that such actions will not be left without consequences., All responsibility for them rests with Washington, London and Paris, Insulting the President of Russia is unacceptable and inadmissible. The U.S. – the possessor of the biggest arsenal of chemical weapons – has no moral right to blame other countries.”
President Trump at the White House on Friday night said he “ordered the United States Armed Forces to launch precision strikes on targets associated with the chemical weapons capabilities of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.”
Trump said the attack is a “combined operation with the armed forces of France and the United Kingdom.”
The president called last weeks chemical attack “evil and the despicable” adding, “These are not the actions of a man; they are crimes of a monster instead.”
“To Iran and to Russia I ask, what kind of a nation wants to be associated with a mass murder of men, women, and children?”
