16 pages of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) documents have been released by Judicial Watch relating to the June 2016 tarmac meeting between former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton. And boy are they damning.
The new 16 pages of Federal Bureau of Investigation documents were obtained by Judicial Watch in response to an October 2016 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:16-cv-02046)) filed after the Justice Department failed to comply with a July 7, 2016, FOIA request seeking:
- All FD-302 forms prepared pursuant to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s investigation of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s use of a private e-mail server during her tenure.
- All records of communications between any agent, employee, or representative of the Federal Bureau of Investigation regarding, concerning, or related to the aforementioned investigation. This request includes, but is not limited to, any related communications with any official, employee, or representative of the Department of Justice, the Executive Office of the President, the Democratic National Committee, and/or the presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton.
- All records related to the meeting between Attorney General Lynch and former President Bill Clinton on June 27, 2016.
On July 1, 2016, Strzok forwarded an email to Bill Priestap, the assistant director of FBI counterintelligence, as well as other FBI officials.
In the email Priestap commented about an article titled “ Lynch to Remove Herself From Decision Over Clinton Emails, Official Says,” saying: “The meeting in PX is all over CNN TV news this morning …”
Strzok then replies: “Timing’s not ideal in that it falsely adds to those seeking the ‘this is all choreographed’ narrative. But I don’t think it’s worth changing … later won’t be better.”
To which Priestap responds “Agreed.”
Judicial Watch revealed 29 pages back in November of 2017 of FBI documents that clearly showed officials were worried about a leak that Bill Clinton had in-fact delayed his aircraft from taking off in order to “maneuver” a meeting with AG Loretta Lynch. The resulting story in the Observer was discussed in this production of documents. The Strzok email was funny enough absent from this production.
Go figure.
Another Strzok email suggests the decision on the Hillary Clinton email investigation had been under discussion since April of 2016—That’s three months before James Comey announced he would recommend no prosecution.
