New bill could see Antifa terrorists jailed for up to 15 years

Antifa activists could be jailed for up to 15 years for wearing masks under a bill introduced by a US congressman.

If passed, Bill HR 6054 would punish anyone wearing a mask or disguise who “injures, oppresses, threatens, or intimidates” someone else exercising a right guaranteed under the Constitution.
The title of the bill — “Unmasking Antifa Act of 2018” — makes it clear that Antifa activists are its intended target, but the bill’s text never explicitly mentions them.
The bill reads: “Whoever, whether or not acting under color of law, while in disguise, including while wearing a mask, injures, oppresses, threatens, or intimidates any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same, shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 15 years, or both.”

According to a report from EpochTimes: They called on people to contact their representatives to vote for the bill. A number of local Antifa groups, including the Rose City Antifa, posted their disdain about the proposal on social media.

Introduced by Republican Rep. Dan Donovan of New York last month, The bill has the left in an outrage who claim it unfairly targets Antifa activists.

But what the left seems to forget is wherever Antifa are there’s sure to be violence and riots from them. Just this month, four people were injured in Portland, Oregon, after Antifa crashed a permitted march by the right-wing group Patriot Prayer. Tensions escalated quickly, and the police were forced to cancel the permit and declare the situation a riot.
Also, eight violent Antifa terrorists were arrested Monday morning as they blocked a van from leaving a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Southwest Portland.
All you have to do is simply google Antifa and you will see all the trouble they have caused will hiding behind their masks.

In a 1999 article from The Southern Poverty Law Center, it states that some states do actually have “anti-masking” laws that make it a crime to wear any mask in public.
Most of those laws were passed between 1920 and 1950 due to constant violence from the Ku Klux Klan.“

Public officials argued that the laws were needed to protect the public from Klan intimidation and violence and that banning masks would aid law enforcement in identifying criminals,” the SPLC said.

  1. We do not need any more prisoners, we need to accept another form of punishment, such a public caning. Some one needs to survey other countries and look for different methods of punishing people.
