Shooting at DeConcini Port of Entry on the U.S.-Mexico Border

A person was shot at the DeConcini Port of Entry on the U.S.-Mexico Border Thursday night, officials with the City of Nogales confirmed.

FOX 26 reports:

Nogales Mayor Arturo Garino told FOX 10 sister station KOLD-TV that according to other Nogales city officials, a person was heading south into Mexico when the person apparently tried to hit and run over a CBP agent, and an agent shot the driver.

The car kept going, according to city officials, and is physically in Mexico.

Meanwhile, Nogales Police officials will only say the port of entry was shut down, due to an emergency, and urged people going to Mexico to use the Mariposa Port of Entry, located to the west of the city.
