On Monday morning, BLM and Antifa rampaged through sections of the city of Chicago for several hours damaging anything in sight. Including the Ronald McDonald House.
A local news program reports that over 30 families are currently staying there along with staff who could only watch as it all unfolded.
Thankfully no-one was injured. The looters damaged the facility at 211 E. Grand Ave. near Lurie Children’s Hospital.
For a while, residents were placed on lockdown while the mob was right outside trying to get inside.
“We’re here for families at all times – whether there’s a pandemic or civil unrest, we need to make sure that we are here allowing families to get the rest they need while they have a child in the hospital seeking care, and so it’s so important that anything that might be going on outside, we maintain our care for families,” said Lisa Mitchell of Ronald McDonald House.
The mission of Ronald McDonald House is to “to create, find, and support programs that help directly improve the health and well-being of children as well as their families”.
Over 100 people were arrested Monday and 13 police officer’s were injured.
