Social media platform Parler over the weekend was the number one app in Apple’s App Store prior to them pulling the plug on them.
On Saturday Apple said it had suspended Parler from its App Store over issues concerning “threats of violence and illegal activity on its platform.”
It’s worth noting that Apple has never applied the same standards to Google, Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube who have been the main haven for terrorists of all variety, extremists, dictators, sexual content, high profile people threatening others as well as the president and so much more.
Everyone paying attention knows this. Today Hang Mike Pence was trending on Twitter. They did nothing. Apple didn’t threaten to take their app off the store.
Apple claims that “Parler has not taken the adequate measures to address the proliferation of these threats to people’s safety.”
That was according to Apple spokesperson Fred Sainz.
Again, Apple has never applied these standards to Google, Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube.
Apple on Friday demanded that Parler moderate harmful content better and present them with a plan or they would be removed from the App Store. This is what Apple ended up doing because any plan given to them will never be good enough because their plan all along was to get them off the App Store.
And again, Apple has never applied these standards to Google, Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube.
We all know why they banned them, it’s the same reason why there’s a mass banning happening across social media.
Censorship. They want to control speech and they don’t want you to have a platform where you can think for yourself.
This isn’t about “safety” or “violence.” There’s dickheads everywhere who will say and do ridiculous shit. No-one can control that. Not even big tech.
If they did care they would be banning the radical leftist accounts that have been calling for the death of Trump supporters and doxing them seriously putting their lives in danger.
Silence.
Instead they cherry pick a few posts from some lunatics no-one gives one shit about and use that to banned people and apps like Parler.
It’s obvious.
Founder/CEO of Parler John Matze has made it very clear so many times that the platform does not tolerate death threats, racism, hate speech and all the other stuff that Twitter and Facebook say they don’t tolerate.
SO. If Facebook and Twitter can’t control concerning content on their platforms, why isn’t Apple going after them as well?
Food for thought.
Nonetheless, you can still access Parler on Apple products via their website.
