Capitol Police report that suspect 49-year old Floyd Ray Roseberry from North Carolina surrendered and was “safely taken into custody.”
Roseberry parked next to the Library of Congress in a pickup truck and told police he had explosives and wanted to speak to President Joe Biden. Police evacuated a number of buildings near the US Capitol on Thursday morning in response to the threat and negotiated with the suspect for “peaceful resolution” to the incident, The Associated Press reports.
