A 29-year-old cop from NSW has been suspended with pay despite being charged with rape and other sex offenses.
NSW Police said officers attached to Professional Standards Command commenced an investigation in July into reports of misconduct.
A 29-year-old male constable – attached to Western Region – was arrested and charged with sexual intercourse without consent and sexually touching another person without consent.
He was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Orange Local Court on January 24.
NSW Police confirmed in a statement on Monday the officer is currently suspended with pay.
