On Wednesday morning, Former president Donald Trump went off online and demanded that Republicans in Congress defund the Department of Justice and the FBI.
He said that Democrats had weaponized the system to interfere with elections. Trump, who had pleaded not guilty to over 30 felony charges less than 24 hours earlier, posted on Truth Social shortly before 7:30 am. He called for Republicans in Congress to defund the DOJ and FBI until they “come to their senses.”
“REPUBLICANS IN CONGRESS SHOULD DEFUND THE DOJ AND FBI UNTIL THEY COME TO THEIR SENSES, THE DEMOCRATS HAVE TOTALLY WEAPONIZED LAW ENFORCEMENT IN OUR COUNTRY AND ARE VICIOUSLY USING THIS ABUSE OF POWER TO INTERFERE WITH OUR ALREADY UNDER SIEGE ELECTIONS!” the former president, wrote on Truth Social.

Trump also said Democrats are using law enforcement in a vicious manner to interfere with the elections, which were already under siege. This reaction followed Judge Juan Merchan’s warning to Trump about his social media posts during his arraignment in Manhattan Supreme Court the previous day.
The scathing criticism followed a stern warning from Judge Juan Merchan to the former president regarding his social media outbursts during his arraignment at Manhattan Supreme Court on Tuesday.
Donald Trump is currently facing 34 felony charges related to fabricating New York State business records as part of a “catch-and-kill” operation to silence negative information during his presidential campaign in 2016.
