In a shocking incident during a police chase in Los Angeles, someone threw a cute puppy nestled in a designer handbag from a speeding truck. But luckily, the little pooch was rescued unharmed, and the LAPD shared a picture of the pup on Twitter.
The abandoned puppy is now in good hands at an animal shelter while officials investigate the incident. The chase started when the police spotted a man who was allegedly involved in an attempted murder and carjacking case in March. The vehicle sped off, leading police on a wild chase through multiple cities, crashing into other vehicles on the way.
After several hours, the pursuit came to an end in Carson, where police arrested three people. The driver, Gustavo Alvarez of Los Angeles, has been charged with attempted murder and carjacking in the March incident. Two women, aged 25 and 27, were also arrested for aiding in the getaway vehicles.
Carson, a city located about 20 miles south of downtown Los Angeles, is home to about 94,000 people.
The investigation into the chase is ongoing.
