A 26-year-old now former employee of Disney Hollywood Studios, Jorge Diaz Vega, was arrested for taking “upskirt” videos of female guests at Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida.
According to WFTV 9, Diaz Vega was reported by a witness who saw him recording a female guest. On March 31 Park security caught him and he is now facing video voyeurism charges. When questioned by deputies, Diaz Vega admitted to taking videos up the skirts and dresses of women without their knowledge at the theme park for about six years, according to a police report obtained by the outlet.
He estimated that he had shot over 500 videos of customers while working at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities in Galaxy’s Edge, the “Star Wars”-themed area of Hollywood Studios. Diaz Vega also admitted to taking videos of multiple women on March 31, and claimed that he took the videos because they were hard to find online and that they gave him sexual gratification.

The police report stated that Jorge Diaz Vega showed detectives multiple examples of the videos he recorded at the theme park via his phone in the image gallery. In the videos, the women did not appear to be aware that they were being recorded. Diaz Vega also claimed that he had been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, but admitted that he knows what is right and what is not. He said he doesn’t take any medication for this diagnosis.
Jorge Diaz Vega has been charged with video voyeurism and was released on bond on April 2, according to WESH 2 News, citing the Orange County Clerk of Courts. The Walt Disney Company confirmed that Diaz Vega was not an employee there, according to a spokesperson.
