Bud Light’s partnership with Dylan Mulvaney has caused controversy and backlash. Following the uproar, a second marketing executive from Bud Light has gone on leave.
Daniel Blake, who runs marketing for Anheuser-Busch’s brand Bud Light, has taken a leave of absence, Anheuser-Busch said.
After facing significant backlash from Bud Light’s collaboration with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, Bud Light’s vice president of marketing, Alissa Heinerscheid decided to take a leave of absence.
Now another executive responsible for marketing Bud Light has decided to take some leave, according to the Washington Examiner.
“Given the circumstances, Alissa has decided to take a leave of absence which we support,” an Anheuser-Busch spokeswoman told the Wall Street Journal. “Daniel has also decided to take a leave of absence.”
According to sources familiar with the matter cited by the Journal, the leave of absence was not a voluntary decision.
Looks a little light.
