President Trump said he will release the text of another phone call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky next week.
The second transcript is from a call that happened months before the July 25 conversation which the democrats used to kick off the impeachment probe.
“Read the transcript. It’s all about the transcript,” Trump told reporters Saturday as he prepared to board Air Force One at Joint Base Andrews. “We have another transcript coming out, which is very important. They asked for it, and I gladly give it. There’s never been a President who’s been so transparent.”
Trump placed a call to Zelensky back in April, to congratulate the then newly-elected leader on his political victory and asked for Zelensky’s help with investigations of former Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter, as well as foreign interference in the 2016 election, sparked the whistleblower complaint that House Democrats said they are investigating.
